superbox #29 burst of color 2 unboxing and review

This is the unboxing of Memebox's Superbox #29: Burst of Color 2.  It shipped on July 11 and is still available as of now.  If you're waiting for yours, beware of spoilers below.

This particular box came with:
1x Hope Girl Tinted Cushion Lipstick 1.1g in 04 Neon Orange — $12
1x Hope Girl Wonder Magic Mascara 7ml — $2
1x Sua Young Mein Sua Young Mineral Essense in Liquid Foundation SPF 33 PA+++ 30g — $34
Beauty People 10 Seconds Auto Eye Liner Pencil in 02 Diamond Burgundy and Diamond Natural Berry — $48
Hope Girl 3D Powder Blusher 5g — $18
LadyKin Close-Up Decuple Fitting Powder 20g — $17
Y.E.T Catgirl Waterproof Pen Liner Black 0.5g — $9

Hope Girl Cushion Lipstick 1.1g (Neon Orange) —3.5/5

This item is listed as a spoiler on Memebox with 4 colors available.  Maybe they ran out colors or something because they lied.  The product card only provides two color options: 03 Coral Pink and 04 Neon Orange.  I was disappointed to read this because of my 75% chance of getting not orange became 50% instead.  Unfortunately,  I ended up with Neon Orange.  Orange as a lip color?  Not a fan.

The cushion tip is actually really nice for blending purposes.  The color actually blended well with my lips and it didn't feel drying like some matte lip products or sticky like gloss, but it doesn't have much staying power.

Y.E.T Catgirl Waterproof Pen Liner Black 0.5g — 4.5/5

It's just black eyeliner.  Black eyeliner is my go-to makeup so I obviously have a decent amount of it, but this is waterproof and the brush feels good - sharp, firm, but soft.  It is resistant to smudging.  It's not bad by any means, but I'm sure people who already own several pen eyeliners may be disappointed because it's nothing special.  I'm not exactly sure why this is in a color box anyways, but since I'm still growing my makeup collection I'm not complaining.

Beauty People 10 Seconds Auto Eye Liner Pencil 2ea (Diamond Burgundy/Diamond Natural Berry)
5/5

I really really like these pencils.  They are really easy to use and glide onto the skin well.  I haven't tried blending them out yet as shadows, but once they dry they have great staying power, which I normally don't expect from eye pencils, especially ones with glitter.

The one in Natural Berry has become my go-to undereye liner.

Hope Girl 3D Powder Blusher 5g (Girly Pink) —4/5

This blush is very bright in the container and has a slight shimmer.  While the color is lovely and easily buildable, I think the design of the container is poor.  It looks pretty, but you have to be very careful when pressing the little puff into the powder or else it'll get everywhere, and don't even think about dropping it!

I actually quite like the color even though it's sheer because I don't normally wear blush and I prefer something subtle.

Hope Girl Magic Mascara 7ml (Black) — 3/5

This feels like your standard black mascara.  It's not very volumizing or lengthening in my opinion.
I'm not totally sure if this mascara is waterproof, but fallout seems pretty minimal.

Swaths listed from top to bottom:
1. Hope Girl Tinted Cushion Lipstick (Neon Orange)
2. Beauty People Eye Liner Pencil (Diamond Natural Berry)
3. Beauty People Eye Liner Pencil (Diamond Burgundy)
4. Y.E.T Catgirl Pen Liner (Black)

And here's a picture of the foundation blend.

Sua Young Mein Sua Young Mineral Essense in Liquid Foundation SPF 33+++ 30g — 4.5/5
I can't read the ingredients but I did do a little research on the brand since I've never heard of it before. This foundation allegedly contains no talc, parabens, mineral oil, fragrance, and alcohol.  The foundation comes in a pump container.

There's no scent, and the foundation is very liquid with yellow undertones.  Apparently it only comes in one shade, which must be unfortunate for people with darker skintones.  Even though I'm already quite pale the foundation brightens my complexion.  Right now I just mix it with BB cream.

LadyKin Close-Up Decuple Fitting Powder 20g — 2.5/5
This powder is a little dark for me.  I tried setting the Sua Young foundation once with this powder and managed to achieve a darker, summery look.  I guess it's ok, I see this as a bronzer powder.  I don't like the heavy baby powder-ish scent though.

  1. Thank you for posting this. I'm eager to get mine; I live in Texas and my package has been on hold at the Dallas airport for over 24hrs, which is frustrating me. It's so close, but still so far...
