memebox collaboration #2 cutiepiemarzia review

This box sold out quickly.  Unfortunately I didn't manage to make the first shipment, so it shipped out August 14 and arrived August 25.  For some odd reason my package went through LAX instead of SFO, even though I live in Northern California.

The bubble wrapping Memebox used wasn't very thick so my box was dented a little and the box smelled very strongly of nail polish at first so I was worried that it had spilled but everything was intact.

Beauty People Snow White Special Edition Season 2 — 5/5
(Glimmer Black, Glimmer Brown, Glimmer Bronze, Glimmer Gold, and Glimmer Beige)

This was the item I really wanted after trying the previous two pencils by Beauty People from the Burst of Color 2 box.  Unfortunately these pencils aren't full-sized (don't be deceived by the picture, the tin is is about as tall as an iPhone 5), but the pencils are amazing.  Smooth and richly pigmented, they are very smudgeproof and water-resistant.

It took me a long time to get an accurate picture of the swatches, but here they are under natural lighting (sunlight from the window).

Membox included a sharpener as well.  It feels pretty cheap, but what do you expect for something that's free?

It's Skin Babyface One-Step Base 01 Lavender Pink — 3.5/5

The packaging for this is adorable, but looks aside, this is supposed to be a base for your makeup.  It is a light lavender pink with a runny consistency.  It smells quite nice and blends in well with my skin, but to be honest I don't notice too much of a difference except perhaps a brightening effect.  I think I need to apply it to half my face to compare.

It's Skin Babyface Volumer Essence — ?/5
I don't really like the scent of this product.  It's a little strong and reminds me of baby powder.  The product comes out like a clear runny gel.  It can be used alone or with a BB cream or foundation, but I already have a sleeping mask gel that I like to use to mix my BB cream.  I don't really have strong opinions about this product considering I've only used it for two days, but I didn't get any allergic reactions from my patch test so I suppose that's good.

L.vida Nail Polish LC-34 Pink Orange — 4/5

The color was brighter than I had anticipated - I was hoping for something more pastel.  It applies well though, and 1 coat was sufficient to get full coverage.  I don't think the color flatters my skin as well though even though it is pretty.

Shara Shara Petit Friend Tinted Balm PK01 Crown Pink — 3/5

This is very cute.  Unfortunately, I think lip balms in a tin are things of the past.  It took me forever to get the top off (tip: squeeze and twist) to begin with.  Hopefully you don't have sausage fingers, because getting the balm out is also an annoyance (use a lip brush if you have one).  The balm feels decently moisturizing and the tint is alright, but it doesn't seem long-lasting.  It's one redeeming feature is the scent - just like strawberry jelly candies.

Pure Smile Gelee Labo Strawberry — ? / 5

This really looks like jam.  I haven't tried it yet though.
